Great Family

This past week we had some good friends come and stay with us. Jon Beck served his mission with Zac and he and his wife and 5 boys live in Virginia while they are finishing up dental school. This family is amazing. They have 5 boys ranging in ages from 1-7. They spent four of their 9 day visit at the Disney parks but we got to enjoy them in the evenings and a few full days. We went to the zoo, the beach (which was freezing and windy), the river park and alligator spotting in the wetlands. We also managed to get a few rounds of Settlers of catan in. It was so much fun to be with them and see what wonderful parents they are. the last time we saw them they had 2 kids and we had 0! Four years changes a lot of things. They were wonderful examples to Zac and I with their mild mannered parenting and calm and ease. I think sometimes we get exasperated a little too quickly with our kids and should be more patient. Jon and Alicia were an amazing team working together to get everything accomplished and they never stopped going!

During this time we had our bathroom remodeled. It was supposed to be finished 2 days before they arrived but of course took a week longer. That was a little frustrating but all handled it well. I think at one point 3 boys were lined up saying they had to poo.....all made it fine.

We are so glad they came and hope to see them again before they head back west in a year.

Little Jonathan and Ellie are 5 days apart in age. Ellie was all over him.
