Latest and Greatest

We were pulling out of the driveway and our neighbor across the street pulled his second car into their garage.  Noah said "Whoa! Did you see that?! How did he do that?" I explained that his garage wasn't stuffed with junk like ours.  He responded with "Well, if he doesn't have a lot of junk in his garage he must not have very much fun."

It was the first day of February and I asked Noah if he knew what holiday was in that month (shooting for Valentines day) he thought a minute and replied "Beaver day!"- Guess they had talked about groundhogs day in school:)

Noah's prayers are often very repetitive and cover the basics of life "bless us to have fun today, bless me not to go on the silver bench, bless our baby."  One night Zac was having very bad back pains and we prayed for him in our family prayer.  The next morning over breakfast Noah was praying.  In the middle of the prayer he stopped and looked up at me and asked "is daddy's back still hurting?" I said yes and he quickly added to the prayer to bless daddy...so thoughtful.

Ellie is quickly approaching 3 and we have seen as drastic change in her sweet little personality.  Her 2 favorite phrases to yess are "2 more minutes!" and "One last time!"

Sometimes when the kids are hanigng out in our bed in the mornings we play a game where we look at the ceiling and say something we see in the patterns.  One morning Noah got pretty specific and said "I see a beaver wearing clothes and a crown."

Driving to school Noah asked if daddy was a worker.  I explained that yes he works hard so we have a nice house, food, and can do fun things.  He then asked "Well, why doesn't he choose to be just a regular dad?" Hard to explain that daddy would love to stay home with the family every day but people gotta make money!

Ellie was sitting in my lap.  She turned around and looked at my stomach and said "Baby get bigger and bigger and bigger!"

Noah's latest saying is "Can I do/have _____________ because you love me so much?"

Ellie loves to rub her face on my belly and hold things up to my belly for baby to see.

My dad passed away on a Saturday.  As Zac was driving Noah to school Monday they were just talking about their weekend camping trip.  Noah said "well it was kind of a sad weekend because grandpa died."  He then added "it was sad and happy, sad because he died but happy because he gets to be with Jesus and Heavenly Father again."

Mom, dad and Ellie were driving running errands while Noah was at school.  Ellie said "mom, Noah is my best friend."

During general conference I had bowls of snacks set out with words in fornt of them for Noah to listen for.  Noah loved this activity and it jept him focused for a full session of conference.  The foods were various things like cut up string cheese, apples, goldfish, jelly beans, and mini marshmallows.  The apples had the word Jesus Christ in front of it.  It didn't take long for Noah to realize he was eating a lot of apples.  After a talk or two he switched the bowl of jellybeans to be behind the popular word.....smart kid!:)

I was reading a book to Ellie.  In what part it mentioned when mommy went to work.  Ellie started laughing and said "Mommies don't work!"
