Kitchen remodel

Zac and I bit the bullet and treated ourselves to having new kitchen counters and back splash installed. Here is the before pictures.



It's tricky living a few days without counters or a sink and working naps around construction but the final results speak volumes!





We have wanted to do this since moving in (not to long ago) and feel like it really dresses up the kitchen. We know we can get our investment back whenever we sell too(not any time soon) and now can enjoy it for a while! We went with a corian called matterhorn and matched the back splash from there. We also now have a seamless sink so all those counter crumbs wipe right in to the sink. We had a nasty old faucet as well and found a new one to fit our new kitchen. It took a lot longer actually than anticipated and we managed to live about 3 weeks without a microwave (try it, you'll see how tricky that is!) In our dream world we'd change the cabinets too but for now we love the results. There are so many things we "could" do to fix up the house but it stops here for a while. Well, I'm off to cook in my new kitchen!
