Dinosaur week

This summer we are doing weekly themed activities. A friend of mine and I pin activities and projects and we just use them as needed doing one or two activities a day.  We started the summer out with dinosaur week.  Kicked it off with a visit to the zoo where they had robotic dinosaurs to see. Zac took Noah in since Ellie would have been terrified and both seemed pretty impressed.  One morning the kids woke up to these gigantic footprints.  We compared them to our own feet.  Measured some objects and charted the differences.  The highlight for the kids was then painting the dino's toes with mommy's nail polish.

We dyed cracked dinosaur eggs.

Made a cerealosaurus

Excavating mini dinosaurs in ice.

Every good play date ends with a puppy dance party.
Spun this wheel and graphed our results.  It was actually so nice to have activities to fall back on when kids got antsy.  They both loved dino week!
