We had our second ever family vacation (not to visit family.) and made our way to Madeira beach. We had a nice condo that was pretty spacious. We arrived at about 10:00 Tuesday night with our sleeping kids. Turns out there was a little miscommunication and the condo had only been partialy cleaned.....beds were not one of the things that had been done. We had to quick makeshift some beds which of course arroused the kids who were then so excited to be in a new place had trouble falling back to sleep. Ellie was actually a little terrified of her new surroundings until daddy had a little chat with her and then she was good to go. We did the same routine every day. Beach, then pool. Condo for lunch/Ellie nap and then evening activity. It was overcast the whole trip which was actually nice to not have the sun pounding on us. Our dear Friend Elizabeth met us there and we loved visitng with her! Here we are first morning with some excited kids.
This is the view from our balcony. The kids ate breakfast and lunch out there every day.
Working on a puzzle.
Little planet earth action
About a block from our condo was a little shack called the candy kitchen. It was really small and wall to wall covered with candy and they made and sold ice cream. Supper yummy.
We made a dribble town
Noah was a boogie boarding machine...pure joy on that kids face.
This was her favorite spot the while trip.
We came home exhausted (not a lot of sleep happened on this trip) yet rejuvinated. Is it next summer vacation yet?
