Noah went swimming for the first time in a pool a few weeks ago. My sister has a heated pool so we took Noah into the biggest bathtub he has ever seen! He totally loved it and has been swimming every day (except Sundays) since. His floaty boat is ok at first but then he wants to be out and held so he can go crazy in the water. He loves to be swung through with his legs under. He also wants to be on his back and belly in the floating position.
Two fun stories with swimming. One day we had just gotten into the pool and I had my brown swimsuit on. We'll I saw the strap floating in the water and went to grab it. It slithered away! Yup, it was a baby black racer in the pool. We hightailed it out of there and grandpa rescued the snake with the pool skimmer.
We often swim with my niece and nephew and they have a great time swimming and splashing all around. After swimming with them about three times Noah decides the only way he'll allow me to hold him in the water is on his belly so that he can kick his legs and paddle with his arms! No joke. He was dipping his face in as well. Could he possibly swim before he walks?:)
It's great to have another activity to do with him especially when it is so hot outside. We went to the ward weekly pool play group last week and that was one pool filled with kids! Good times!

Look at your little fish! Paige loves swimming too. I can't believe you live in Florida and this is his first time in a pool! Gotta watch those snakes who think they need to cool off too(:
