Fireside
So at church they announced this impromtu frieside to be held tonight at our stake center. We were encouraged to attend, invite our friends, and wear church dress. We were then told that it was to really test our faith as it was the night of the super bowl. They then announced that the guest at the fireside was none other than David Archuleta. Yes, that's right the runner up of American Idol. My husband being the sweet person he is volunteered to keep Noah in the Young Womens room so that I could fully enjoy the evening(in the fourth pew!). It was really last minute so David came and was his cute, genuine and awkward self. He only sang two songs, Be Still My Soul and I Know that my Redeemer Lives. He made them appear so effortless. He had a stack of questions that we had all written down on notecards that he answered all night. It was obvious he wasn't super comfortable and it just reminded me that he is still a young kid learning about himself. I am impressed with his adaption to his instant fame and desire to use his gift as a missionary tool. He truely has a wonderful talent and it was a fun opportunity to hear from him
